Enterprise Engineering (Network) designs and operates every layer of CoreWeave's corporate network, including wired and wireless connectivity, audio visual endpoints, remote access and VPN, and the monitoring, automation, and compliance controls that keep it all running. We treat the network as a product: engineered for observability, security, and reliability, and delivered in close partnership with Security, SRE, and the rest of IT.
About the role:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll design and operate the enterprise network while making its state visible and measurable. You'll own runbooks and act as the engineering interface to our NOC, coaching operations staff on diagnostics and root cause analysis. You'll also shape our remote access and VPN services and participate in and lead designs that build in compliance and security from the start.
β’ Make the network's state visible and measurable through monitoring, telemetry, dashboards, and alerting, with KPIs for availability, performance, and capacity
β’ Lead runbook creation and maintenance, from routine operations to complex incident response
β’ Serve as the engineering interface to the NOC, coaching engineers on diagnostics and root cause analysis and mentoring operations staff into more senior roles
β’ Lead design and evolution of remote access and VPN services across ZTNA, SDP, SSL VPN, and client based approaches
β’ Design, deploy, and operate the enterprise network across offices, data centers, and remote sites, with repeatable site build patterns
β’ Lead and participate in design reviews, partnering with Security, SRE, and IT to keep compliance and audit requirements built in
β’ Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and coach less experienced engineers through pairing, reviews, and documentation
Who You Are:
β’ 8+ years of network engineering experience in large scale or rapidly growing environments
β’ Hands on experience designing and operating enterprise networks across offices, data centers, and remote sites
β’ Experience leading VPN and remote access design across ZTNA, SDP, SSL VPN, or client based solutions
β’ Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, and firewalling
β’ Experience building network monitoring, telemetry, dashboards, and alerting
β’ Experience authoring runbooks used by NOC or operations teams
β’ Troubleshooting experience across Layers 2 through 7
Preferred:
β’ Experience designing and operating cloud networking in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
β’ Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
β’ Hands on experience with enterprise platforms such as Cisco (SDWan, Enterprise, Wireless), Juniper, HPE / Aruba (Enterprise, Wireless)
β’ Experience with modern observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ThousandEyes, or equivalent)
β’ Experience supporting high growth, AI, or HPC environments
β’ Experience implementing Zero Trust or SASE architectures at scale
Wondering if youβre a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams β even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities weβve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, weβd love to talk.
β’ You love to own outcomes end to end
β’ You love to level up the engineers around you
β’ You're curious about how systems fail and how to make them fail less
β’ You're curious about what other teams need to be successful
β’ You're an expert in turning operational pain into durable engineering fixes
