About the Role
Coupang is seeking a skilled Chinese-English interpreter to support bilingual communication within the company and with external partners. This role involves both verbal interpretation and written translation, ensuring seamless operations across all functions.
Key Responsibilities
- βTranslate messages, live talks, recordings, and documents between Chinese and English
- βCollaborate with colleagues to compile useful information into glossaries for translation reference
- βFollow ethical rules to protect sensitive confidential information
- βFind and replace phrases with conflicting meanings while maintaining original message
- βCheck, revise, and edit translations for consistency and accuracy
- βConsult dictionaries and terminologies to update vocabulary knowledge
- βRecord changes to translated documents and maintain change records
- βAnalyze meeting participants and participate in briefings to determine optimal interpreting methods
Requirements
- βMaster's degree and relevant qualification in English-Chinese translation/interpretation
- βFluent in English and Mandarin
- βFamiliar with machine-assisted translation
- β3 to 5 years of in-house or freelance interpreting experience
