About the Role
We are looking for an Account Manager to join our growing CPA and Business Management firm, Adeptus Advisors LLC. This role will support our Los Angeles Business Management practice, working with a tight-knit team that specializes in music business management for touring artists, producers, songwriters, and independent labels.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage day-to-day financial operations for assigned clients
- →Review bookkeeping work, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- →Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable (bill pay & invoicing)
- →Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and their representatives
- →Review and reconcile intercompany accounts
- →Prepare and review payroll reports and commissions schedules
- →Assist with preparation and review of 1099 forms
- →Coordinate with tax team regarding tax planning and compliance matters
- →Prepare financial reports and Excel schedules for clients and internal review
- →Help prioritize workflow and ensure deadlines are met
- →Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience working in business management or accounting
- ✓Experience in the music industry strongly preferred
- ✓Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- ✓Experience managing financial workflows and reviewing work of junior staff preferred
- ✓In-person 5 days a week (non-remote)
- ✓Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- ✓Strong proficiency with accounting software – AgilLink, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online
- ✓Experience with preparation of 1099 forms
- ✓Strong attention to detail
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- ✓Ability to work overtime if necessary
