About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for the Platform Products team at Cribl. This role involves leading a team that builds foundational features and services for the Cribl-managed experience, empowering other product teams to build, ship, and sell their products with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and grow exceptional teams by recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent.
- →Drive projects from design to production, ensuring features are shipped faster than standard release cycles without sacrificing quality.
- →Collaborate across engineering and product teams to build foundational services that allow other teams to ship and monetize their products seamlessly.
- →Take responsibility for the managed Cribl product experience, including domain areas like Billing, Dispensary, Workspaces, and Notifications.
- →Establish a culture of observability and reliability for customer-facing services.
- →Provide hands-on code reviews and architecture guidance, and support the team on production issues when needed.
Requirements
- ✓2+ years as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead, managing high-performing teams focused on product-facing platforms or SaaS foundations.
- ✓A track record of shipping customer-facing features quickly and iteratively, balancing speed to market with architectural debt.
- ✓Prior experience as a Tech Lead or Staff+ engineer building backend systems, navigating complexities of billing logic, user journeys, and managed service APIs.
- ✓Deep experience running production systems with on-call rotations, building observable systems that provide a seamless customer experience.
- ✓A history of hiring and developing engineers who thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- ✓Skilled at driving alignment across diverse product teams and communicating the trade-offs of platform-level decisions to stakeholders.
- ✓Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and the "managed product" stack, with a curiosity to continuously improve the developer and customer experience.
