About the Role
Crusoe is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and execution of their storage strategy. This role will drive innovation and performance improvements within the company's cloud storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- βLead engineering efforts on cloud storage features
- βWrite and review code, generate and review design documentation
- βGuide the engineering team through architecture decisions and design processes
- βMentor and grow engineers on the team
- βChampion and lead initiatives across the engineering organization
- βBenchmark, analyze, and improve scale, performance, and resiliency issues
Requirements
- βHands-on experience building and operating large scale, complex distributed cloud computing infrastructure products
- βKnowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
- βStrong experience with at least one application programming language like Java or Go
- βExposure to Infrastructure as Code tooling with any of Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and/or Terraform
- βKnowledge of Linux Systems Internals and computer architecture
- βStrong communication and collaboration skills
- βMust be able to pass a background check
