Summary:
We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) Senior Software Engineer, experienced in designing and developing Microsoft-based business solutions in cloud environments using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, to join our rapidly growing team.  D.A. Davidson has several MS CRM Dynamics deployments.  This CRM Lead Engineer will be a member of the Agile team that will principally focus on D.A. Davidson’s MS CRM Dynamics deployment for 2 business units.  As a member of this team, this position will be responsible for supporting, designing, and managing CRM deployments for Davidson Investment Advisors (DIA) and Davidson Fixed Income Capital Markets.  Responsibilities will include troubleshooting, expanding and optimizing the existing deployments, and working with product management to maintain and manage work against a multiyear roadmap.  This position will report to the Vice President, Systems & Applications Manager, who oversees engineering for all our MS CRM deployments.  This individual will work as part of a dedicated product team in conjunction with other software development teams, database architects, business analysts and end users.Â
Qualifications:Â

•   7 or more years of CRM deployment and engineering experienceÂ

•   Highly desirable to have experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions, including possessing a solid understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps (Model-driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages), Power BI, Power Automate, and Data FactoryÂ
•   Extensive domain-specific experience in the Financial Services industry
•   Experience designing and deploying MS CRM Sales DynamicsÂ
Job Responsibilities:
•   Lead CRM Development: Architect, design, and implement CRM solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, specifically tailored for Sales and client management. Focus on developing and managing plugins, workflows, cloud flows, form scripting, and leveraging Dynamics CRM SDK.
•   Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical leadership to product management and business leadershipÂ
•   Driving best practices in software development, with a focus on security, performance, scalability and maintenance.
•   Customization & Integration: Customize Dynamics CRM entities, develop and manage workflows, cloud flows, and plugins, and implement advanced form scripting. Research opportunities to Integrate CRM with other enterprise systemsÂ
•   Project Management: Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Data Operations, and Infrastructure to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
•   Technical Governance: Closely follow SDLC guidelines and governance, participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards, conduct reviews (technical and solution) and manage production deployments/releases.
•   Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all CRM customizations, configurations, and integrations.
•   Holistic awareness of processes supporting data preparation and data governance considerations such as metadata, dependencies, linage, tagging, and data classification; Understanding of meta-model and metadata management requirements
•   Security and governance experience: RBAC, least privilege, secrets management, PII handling, row level security, auditing, and complianceÂ
•   When applicable coordinate, direct and oversee the work of third-party engineers through solution design reviews, code reviews and process reviews.
•   Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements like, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.Â
•   Research and analyze new technologies, methodologies and architectures for viability.
•   Work independently within a scrum delivery team, with oversight from domain and enterprise architectsÂ
Specific Technical SkillsÂ
•   Strong background supporting MS Dynamics 365 Sales
•   Hands-on MS Dynamics 365 experience, this includes design, development, customization, implementation, integration, and administration of MS Dynamics 365 solutions.
•   Expert background in MS Dynamics 365 CRM Development using .NET/C#., plugins, JavaScript, workflows.
•   Experience in MS Dynamics 365 tools like Plugin Registration Tool, Configuration Migration Tool, XRM Toolbox.
•   Dynamics 365 CRM troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
•   Experience in writing Power Automate/Flows
•   Experience in using Power Platform Admin Center
•   Understanding ALM and solution layering
•   Familiarity with MS Co-Pilot SalesÂ
•   Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric: pipelines, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and Medalion architecture, and Data FactoryÂ
•   Familiarity with Azure DevOps: CI/CD pipelinesÂ
•   Familiarity with API Management (APIM): API design, security (OAuth/JWT), policies, and versioning
•   Familiarity with MDM concepts (golden record, survivorship, matching, data quality)Â

The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $95,000 – $110,000 annually. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
