About the Role
Dandy is hiring a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our rapidly scaling technology organization. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable infrastructure and systems to support our growing product engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- →Set the vision and technical direction for Dandy’s Data Infrastructure team
- →Own Dandy’s data pipelines and warehouse, ingesting data from hundreds of sources
- →Develop and maintain infrastructure, systems, and tooling to support data engineering
- →Improve developer experience and productivity across software repositories
- →Collaborate with stakeholders to influence objectives and long-term goals
- →Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
- →Design improvements to infrastructure quality, security, and performance
- →Craft code that meets internal standards for style and best practices
- →Foster a culture of proactive collaboration and systems resiliency
- →Recognize and solve impediments to team efficiency
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of data infrastructure engineering experience
- ✓Proficiency in DBT, Dagster/Airflow, Python, SQL
- ✓Experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure (GCP preferred)
- ✓Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for DBT models
- ✓Experience with infrastructure as code platforms
- ✓Hands-on expertise in designing data pipelines and ETL processes
- ✓Collaborative, pragmatic, and growth-oriented mindset
- ✓Ability to communicate complex technical problems
- ✓Experience with performance optimization
- ✓Comfort working in agile development processes
- ✓Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
