Senior Product Designer - Chairside and Product Lines Team at Dandy

We’re hiring a Product Designer to join our Chairside & Product Lines team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver high-impact workflows that help dental practices scan, order, and manage restorative products for their patients. You’ll work closely with Senior and Staff Designers to execute priority initiatives while growing your ownership over problem definition and solution quality. This is a hands-on product design role for someone who wants to do real work on complex systems, learn quickly, and grow into a broader scope over time.. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Product Designer at Dandy, you’ll contribute to dentist-facing workflows across Chairside, Dandy’s flagship product, and supporting Product Line experiences. These workflows sit at the core of the clinical experience and directly impact accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, and Senior and Staff Design peers to take work from problem framing through execution and iteration. While you won’t be expected to set product strategy independently, you will be expected to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and deliver design solutions that hold up in production. WHAT YOU’LL DO DESIGN AND SHIP HIGH-IMPACT WORKFLOWS - Design end-to-end experiences for core Chairside and Product Line workflows, including scanning and ordering. - Take ownership of scoped problem areas or features, executing designs from early exploration through final UI and handoff. - Ensure designs are clear, usable, and feasible within real technical and operational constraints. EXECUTE WITH CRAFT AND JUDGMENT - Create thoughtful interaction flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that balance speed, quality, and user needs. - Apply design system components consistently, while knowing when a problem requires something new. - Sweat the details that matter for usability, accuracy, and confidence, especially in workflow-heavy, error-prone moments. PARTNER CLOSELY WITH CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS - Work day-to-day with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements, explore tradeoffs, and iterate toward strong solutions. - Participate in critiques and design reviews with Senior and Staff Designers, incorporating feedback and raising the quality bar. - Communicate design decisions clearly, grounding them in user needs and product goals. LEARN FROM USERS AND DATA - Participate in user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to inform design decisions. - Use feedback, customer support insights, and basic product metrics to iterate on shipped work. - Show curiosity about how your designs perform in the real world, and adjust accordingly. GROW YOUR SCOPE OVER TIME - Gradually take on more ownership over problem framing and solution direction with support from senior design partners. - Build confidence navigating ambiguity and contributing earlier in the product lifecycle. - Learn when to push, when to align, and when to ask for help. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 3–5 years of product design experience, working on real, shipped products. - A portfolio that demonstrates strong execution, clear problem framing, and the ability to work within constraints. - Experience designing complex workflows or systems (B2B, healthcare, or operations-heavy products are a plus). - Strong fundamentals in interaction design, visual design, and usability. - Comfort collaborating cross-functionally and incorporating feedback without losing clarity. - Strong communication skills. Able to explain why your design decisions make sense based on user needs and product goals. - A growth mindset: motivated to improve craft, take on more responsibility, and learn from others. BONUS POINTS FOR - Experience in medical, dental, or healthcare technology. - Familiarity with B2B or workflow-intensive tools. - Exposure to design systems, workflow automation, or form-heavy interfaces - Knowledge of lab-to-clinic workflows or prior experience with clinical order management systems.
