About the Role
Dandy is seeking a Senior Algorithms Engineer to lead the development of toolpath algorithms for next-generation dental lab automation. This role will bridge the gap between digital design and physical production, focusing on novel toolpath and robotic control mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the strategy for automating complex, high-dexterity tasks in dental manufacturing
- →Build workflows for hybrid production combining 3D printing and injection molding
- →Develop novel robotic control mechanisms (6DoF) for high-dexterity tasks
- →Research and implement toolpath simulation and collision avoidance algorithms
- →Partner across engineering and operations to transition theoretical robotics into production
Requirements
- ✓Software engineering background with production-grade C++ or python skills
- ✓Deep experience with 5-axis CNC or 6DoF robotic integration
- ✓Proficiency in computational geometry, mesh processing, and 3D algorithms
- ✓Experience in toolpath simulation, kinematics, and robotic path planning
- ✓"0 to 1" mindset with experience in startup environments
