About the Role
We are looking for a Big Data Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team. This role involves working with clients on short to medium term customer engagements focused on big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects to help customers maximize the value of their data.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work on a variety of customer technical projects including designing and building reference architectures
- →Scope professional services work with engagement managers and customer input
- →Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and 3rd party migrations
- →Consult on architecture and design, and bootstrap hands-on projects for customer adoption of Databricks
- →Provide escalated support for customer operational issues
- →Collaborate with technical teams to ensure delivery of technical components
- →Work with Engineering and Customer Support to provide product feedback and guide resolution of issues
Requirements
- ✓9+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics
- ✓Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala
- ✓Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
- ✓Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of its runtime internals
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
- ✓Working knowledge of MLOps
- ✓Capable of designing and deploying highly performant end-to-end data architectures
- ✓Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines
- ✓Documentation and white-boarding skills
- ✓Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
- ✓Experience in building scalable streaming and batch solutions using cloud-native components
- ✓Travel to customers up to 20% of the time
- ✓Nice to have: Databricks Certification
