About the Role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Databricks' specialized customer-facing team. This role involves designing, building, and productionizing innovative data and AI solutions for strategic customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions
- →Design and develop fullstack applications spanning backend, frontend, and integrations
- →Deliver production-grade systems from data ingestion to user-facing applications
- →Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact
- →Partner with Sales, Product, and Field Engineering for seamless customer journeys
- →Contribute accelerators and best practices that scale impact across accounts
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in software engineering with experience across backend, frontend, and systems integration
- ✓Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java/Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks
- ✓Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy production applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces
- ✓Familiarity with AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini
- ✓Proven track record of delivering technical solutions in enterprise environments
- ✓Ability to engage across broad stakeholder ranges, from engineers to C-level executives
- ✓Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to client sites
