About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Databricks' data engineering team. You'll own the end-to-end design of how users discover, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot their ingestion pipelines, shaping experiences for both data engineers and business analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design the front door to the Lakehouse, shaping first impressions and ongoing trust for thousands of organizations
- →Create experiences that serve both data engineers needing granular control and analysts wanting ready-to-use data
- →Own the end-to-end ingestion experience across connector setup, credentials, scheduling, monitoring, error recovery, and schema evolution
- →Define AI-native data ingestion by integrating Databricks Assistant into pipeline creation and troubleshooting
- →Create scalable patterns for a diverse and growing range of connectors
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of product design work experience
- ✓A bachelor's or higher degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- ✓A strong portfolio of past projects demonstrating a solid design process
- ✓Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- ✓Ability to execute beautiful visual and interaction work rooted in a data-driven UX process
- ✓Experience designing enterprise software, services, or complex systems
- ✓Experience with React, SQL, CSS, and/or Python is a nice-to-have
