About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join Databricks, where you will lead the growth of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. This customer-facing role involves working with customers, teammates, and the product team to identify use cases, develop architectures, and guide customers through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems
- →Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
- →Consult on big data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects
- →Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers
- →Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities
- →Travel to customers in your region
Requirements
- ✓8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role
- ✓Experience designing distributed data systems
- ✓Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
- ✓Experience supporting Public Sector clients
- ✓Have built solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- ✓Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
- ✓Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
- ✓US Citizen
- ✓[Desired] Degree in a quantitative discipline
