About the Role

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the Digital Natives team at Databricks. This role involves working with data engineering, data science, and ML teams to push the boundaries of big data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

→Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership and help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems
→Drive technical discovery and solution design, focusing on winning competitive deals and accelerating time-to-value in strategic accounts
→Continuously research and learn new technologies and their implementations on Databricks
→Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proof of concepts for strategic projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and other applications
→Collaborate with Solutions Architects to support each other and customers
→Become an expert in and promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects
→Work with account executives to create and execute account penetration strategies
→Build trusted advisor relationships with senior and executive stakeholders

Requirements

✓4+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role
✓Experience building distributed data systems
✓Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL
✓Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
✓Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow)
✓Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C/VP-level stakeholders
✓Available to travel to customers in your region
✓[Desired] Degree in a quantitative discipline
✓[Nice to have] Databricks Certification
