Senior AI Engineer - APM Integrations at Datadog

About the Role

We are looking for an AI-Assisted Integration Developer to join our Datadog APM integrations team. This role involves building AI-assisted tools that help engineers with daily tasks, from drafting code changes to suggesting fixes and validating results. You will work closely with other teams to build solutions that fit their processes and define what "good" means for these tools.

Key Responsibilities

• →Build agent workflows that take an integration need from plan to implementation and validation with human approval at checkpoints.
• →Create systems that synthesize context from codebases, documentation, specifications, telemetry, and historical incidents to make changes that match Datadog conventions and customer expectations.
• →Generate and evolve integration code and tests, including end-to-end scenarios that reflect real customer workloads and product features.
• →Design evaluation harnesses that prevent silent regressions using golden sets, scenario baselines, semantic checks, performance thresholds, and release gating.
• →Build portfolio-level automation for proactive updates, tracer feature rollouts, migrations to new schemas, and targeted coverage expansion.
• →Partner with product managers, support engineers, and integration-owning teams to make the system adoptable, trustworthy, and embedded in daily engineering workflows.
