About the Role
Datadog’s Product Engineering teams build interfaces for customers to observe, monitor, and troubleshoot their systems in real time. As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll lead the development of complex UI features used by hundreds of thousands of users across core observability products. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to shape user experiences and improve frontend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and deliver scalable frontend features for Datadog’s core observability products
- →Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define user experiences, data flows, and APIs
- →Lead technical discussions and contribute to long-term architectural decisions
- →Improve performance, reliability, and accessibility of user-facing applications
- →Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability
- →Mentor other engineers and promote frontend engineering best practices
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of experience building production-grade frontend applications at scale
- ✓Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React
- ✓Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and browser fundamentals
- ✓Experience taking major features from concept to launch with minimal supervision
- ✓Effective communicator who can influence technical direction
- ✓Prioritize user experience and have an eye for UI quality and detail
