Product Manager – Sport Activities
Mission
The CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) team is seeking a dedicated Product Manager to lead the Sport Activities ecosystem. This role is at the heart of Decathlon’s strategy to transition from a pure retailer to a partner in our customers' sporting lives.
As the PM for this scope, you will oversee a portfolio of four foundational products: Sport Tracking Data (STD), Body (morphology), Favorite Sport and the Partner Hub (integrations with Strava, Garmin, etc.). Your mission is to transform these high-traffic backend services from a maintenance state into a high-performing engine that powers global personalization, the Membership loyalty program and cross-selling across all Decathlon digital platforms.
You will be the architect of how we capture, enrich, and utilize sporting data to create a fluid, data-driven customer journey.

• Animate User Needs: Animate the expression of user needs within the product team.
• Backlog & User Stories: Co-write the user stories and maintain the backlog of new features.

• Acceptance Criteria: Define the acceptance criteria for new features.
2. Delivery and Product Quality
• Validation & Compliance: Validate and verify the compliance of features with user needs.
• Impact & Satisfaction: Measure the impact of product enhancements on users satisfaction.

• Technical Excellence: Contribute to the team effort to deliver a high-quality product that is maintainable, scalable, and reliable in production.
3. Collaboration and Ecosystem
• Privileged Interface: Be the privileged interface between users and the technical team.
• Agile Ceremonies: Help with collaboration within the team by leading agile ceremonies.
• Transversal Collaboration: Work closely with the other CIAM product teams as well as with the Sports Experience teams and Connected Sport Products to collaboratively define priorities and impact. Easily collaborate with Tech, Data, Support and Design teams to improve the product.
4. Data-Driven Steering: Backend Instrumentation & Optimization
• Observability: Design and maintain robust logging and event tracking to monitor the performances. Identify system bottlenecks and latency issues within the communication delivery.
• System Performance & Alignment: Partner with Tech leads, Support and Data team as well as with other product people in charge of the end-user experiences to translate business KPIs into high-performance backend requirements, ensuring that technical implementations are both scalable and measurable.
• Logic Experimentation: Architect and execute server-side A/B tests to validate changes in verification workflows
