About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team at Deel, a global payroll and HR platform. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems and creating seamless experiences for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate in a cross-functional team with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals
- →Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment
- →Develop and enhance features, APIs, and continuously improve our industry-leading products
- →Provide an exceptional, customer-centric experience through quality engineering and attentive development
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in Backend Development with strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript
- ✓Database Mastery with PostgreSQL, handling query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling
- ✓Solid Grasp of OOP and Design Patterns
- ✓Scalability Focus with experience in designing systems for scalability
- ✓High-Volume Performance with proven expertise in optimizing systems for large transaction volumes
- ✓API Development skills including input validation, JWT tokens, and security & scalability through queue-based systems
- ✓At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer
