About the Role
DeepJudge is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team and take ownership from day one. You'll work on building and maintaining high-performance indexing systems that power our search engine, processing queries over hundreds of millions of documents.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services
- →Take ownership of core components of our indexing infrastructure
- →Collaborate with engineers to define, design, and ship new features
- →Optimize performance and scalability across data processing pipelines
- →Integrate with third-party data providers and use their APIs
- →Review code and contribute to high code quality standards
- →Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives
- →Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies
Requirements
- ✓Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- ✓2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer
- ✓Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, or C++
- ✓Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- ✓Comfort with modern web architectures and cloud platforms
- ✓Ability to solve complex problems and think about performance at scale
- ✓Clear communication and collaborative team skills
- ✓Ability to work independently and take ownership
- ✓Experience with information retrieval or search systems (nice to have)
