The Opportunity: Definian is hiring an experience Senior Data Migration Developer_Oracle to join our growing offshore consulting team in India. In this role, you will work directly with clients to understand their business needs, solidify requirements, and become an expert with respect to their data. You will apply innovation, intelligence, and problem-solving skills to build custom solutions to their specific needs and guide them through large-scale technology transformations. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys working with data and using technology to address a never-ending stream of challenges on behalf of clients who have huge needs but lack the ability, experience, time, and/or tools to do it themselves. Job Title: Senior Data Migration Developer_Oracle Position Type: Full Time Location: Hyderabad Office (Onsite) What You'll Be Doing: • Taking direct ownership of mission critical data requirements in a fast paced, collaborative work environment • Delivering technology solutions to clients across industries, such as Manufacturing & Distribution, Education & Government, Consumer & Industrial Products, and Life Sciences & Healthcare • Working with clients to understand their current data landscape and advising on the strategy to align with their future-state data landscape • Designing and developing custom solutions for clients using a variety of software and programming tools, including Definian’s proprietary software product (Applaud), SQL, PowerShell, Excel, and VBA • Using quantitative methods to derive actionable insights, patterns, and outcomes from data • Learning leading enterprise software products such as Oracle, SAP, and Workday • Becoming a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remaining up-to-date on industry news What You’ll Bring to the Team: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Oracle data migration required. • Deep, hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud data migrations across the full conversion lifecycle — extraction, transformation, mapping, loading, and reconciliation. • Proficient in loading data to Oracle Cloud using standard tools such as FBDI, ADFDI, and HDL. • Strong SQL proficiency including complex queries for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation. • Develop and maintain conversion mapping documents, data templates, and transformation logic aligned to client and project requirements. • Participate in requirement gathering sessions, planning tasks and estimated delivery dates (project planning), and escalation management. • Designing and developing custom solutions using multiple programming tools including SQL, Excel, VBA, and PowerShell. • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to derive actionable insights from data. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
