Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer β macOS Agent, you will lead the design and development of the macOS Agent. The agent integrates with the Privilege Manager Server to deliver application control and enforce least privilege through policy-based access management. In this role, you will conduct in-depth analysis of customer-reported issues, drive root cause resolution, architect and deliver new features.
What Youβll Do:
- Engineer developing the Privilege Manager macOS agent. Gaining a deep understanding of the technology and systems underpinning the service, enabling the ability to troubleshoot issues, evaluate changes, and make informed technical decisions.
- Be a fully contributing member of a Delinea Sprint team.
- Work specifically on projects relating to remote management solutions for macOS workstations that connect to our on-prem and cloud-hosted Privilege Manager Server.
- Contribute to the implementation, design, and architecture of products.
- Implement and maintain high standards of software quality and security, regularly reviewing code and processes to drive improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve macOS Agent issues, ensuring the reliability and availability of our systems. Working with support and the customer to resolve issues.
- Work on a Privilege Manager service product team, bringing feature enhancements and customer fixes
- Using Scrum processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, UX, Dev) to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Optimize the macOS Agent for performance, scalability and efficiency.
- Look for ways to improve the development and automation processes (code quality, E2E testing, security scans, etc.), monitoring, and tiered incidence response.
What Youβll Need:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on macOS internals
- Strong proficiency in Swift for macOS development. Have practical experience with Swift Concurrency.Working knowledge of Objective-C (enough to read, understand, and migrate legacy code)
- Understanding of macOS application architecture and expertise in macOS frameworks, including System Extensions, Endpoint Security, Service Management, daemons/agents, XPC, GCD as well as SwiftUI, AppKit and Accessibility for the UI implementation.Security-first mindset, understanding of Appleβs security and privacy model
- Familiarity with Xcode and Apple's development toolchain
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architecture principles, with solid experience implementing Dependency Injection and MVVM.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and managing builds for multiple environments and configurations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product and UX/UI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Weβd Love to See:
- Understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions and cybersecurity principles, with experience in developing security-focused software.
- Experience interacting directly with customers in a support capacity.
- Experience with agent products that are installed on many customer machines.
- Experience of working with AI tools to enhance the development process
- Familiarity with macOS app distribution (signing, notarization)
