Job Title: Chapter 13 Post-Confirmation Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform 6-month case reviews to ensure clients' cases are on track for successful completion
• Communicate with clients about plan payments, missing documents, and other case deficiencies
• Communicate with creditors, trustees, and court staff to resolve objections
• Manage and organize bankruptcy files, including preparing and filing required schedules, statements, plan modifications, and other paperwork
• Provide support to lawyers during bankruptcy hearings
• Ensure all bankruptcy court conditions are met timely
• Review creditor proof of claims
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to assemble necessary case components
Qualifications & Skills:
• Ability to handle large volumes of work with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to meet filing quotas
• High proficiency in English (C1 level)
• High emotional intelligence and resilience to handle difficult or upset clients with empathy, patience, and professionalism
• High attention to detail and good numerical skills
• Ability to work calmly with escalated clients while gathering important information
• Excellent follow-up skills
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Case Manager, Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar roles in USA law firm
• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Experience in law is required; bankruptcy law experience is preferred but not mandatory
