ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
THE ADVENTURE AHEAD ๐
As our Product Owner (User Management), you will play a key role in turning product strategy into reliable, usable, and performant product experiences for Docebo customers and internal teams. Operating within a single cross-functional squad, this role owns the tactical execution for everything connected to User management in the platform with a focus on operational and engineering-centric domains that may not directly generate revenue, but are essential for scale, reliability, and adoption of our core and strategic products.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about building robust, easy-to-use capabilities that other teams and products rely on.
THE DAY-TO-DAY ๐๏ธ
- Command the Backlog: Own and prioritize the squad backlog for User Management, Authentication, and Privacy, ensuring alignment with the broader product roadmap.
- Engineer the Requirements: Translate complex problems into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for Engineering and QA.
- Drive Predictable Delivery: Partner with Engineering leads to scope work, sequence increments, and balance new features with technical debt.
- Optimize Feature Adoption: Define success metrics and review product analytics to understand how admins and learners interact with your features.
- Safeguard Platform Reliability: Track error rates and response times to address regressions, incidents, and performance hotspots in your domain.
- Act as Technical Point-of-Contact: Triage issues for Support and internal teams, clarifying behavior and translating recurring problems into backlog items.
- Orchestrate Release Readiness: Coordinate documentation, enablement, and incremental rollout plans with Group Product Managers and cross-functional partners.
- Fuel Product Discovery: Participate in problem framing and validate assumptions via prototypes and targeted customer conversations.
YOUR SUPERPOWERS โก
- SaaS Product Experience: You bring 4+ years of experience in product, technical, or operations roles, specifically building or supporting digital products. Previous experience in LMS (Learning Management Systems) is considered a plus.
- Technical Fluency: You have advanced knowledge of industry-standard Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanisms and authentication protocols (e.g., SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), along with a strong understanding of best-in-class market solutions and identity providers to ensure scalable, secure, and standardized SSO integrations across a broad SaaS ecosystem.
- Execution-Focused Ownership: You take full responsibility for the health of your product area, tracking metrics and ensuring changes land successfully.
- Stakeholder Empathy: You understand and represent the needs of admins, learners, and internal support teams when making day-to-day product decisions.
- Analytical Decision-Making: You are comfortable defining measurable outcomes and using data alongside qualitative input to refine the backlog.
- Structured Communication: You excel at explaining complex technical behaviors and edge cases clearly to both Engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Systems Thinking: You have a high attention to detail regarding error handling and understand how changes impact adjacent features and workflows.
- Agile Collaboration: You thrive in cross-functional squads and are comfortable working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
