Location
Our Technical Product Owner β DoiT PartnerOps will be an integral part of our Product Management team. This role is based remotely in the East US, Canada, the UK or Ireland.
Who We Are
DoiT is a global technology company that works with cloud-driven organizations to leverage the cloud to drive business growth and innovation. We combine data, technology, and human expertise to ensure our customers operate in a well-architected and scalable state - from planning to production.
Delivering DoiT Cloud Intelligence, the only solution that integrates advanced technology with human intelligence, we help our customers solve complex multicloud problems and drive efficiency.
With decades of multicloud experience, we have specializations in Kubernetes, GenAI, CloudOps, and more. An award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, we work alongside more than 4,000 customers worldwide.
The Opportunity
Weβre hiring a Technical Product Owner to drive rapid delivery and iteration for a critical component of DoiT PartnerOps, our platform that enables cloud partners, resellers, and service providers to operate, monetize, and scale their cloud businesses across major hyperscalers.
The DoiT PartnerOps helps partners manage the operational and financial complexity of the cloud ecosystem, including cloud billing, margin management, customer lifecycle workflows, and partner-led service delivery. The platform is designed to help partners build scalable businesses on top of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
This role is built for someone with a "technical founder" mindset: relentless curiosity about how the cloud ecosystem works, a deep understanding of hyperscaler partner programs and cloud billing mechanics, and the confidence to test ideas directly with partners and domain experts.
The right person for this role will have held hands-on roles within the cloud ecosystem β whether in cloud operations, cloud billing / FinOps, partner operations, or platform development β and will bring direct experience working with cloud billing systems, marketplace programs, or partner/channel business models.
Responsibilities
β’ Owns delivery, iteration, and learning velocity for the assigned component.
β’ Turns VP-level direction into clear problems to solve, a prioritized backlog, and incrementally shippable scope.
β’ Runs the feedback loop: discover β define β build β release β measure β iterate, repeatedly.
β’ Works within the Engineering teams to ensure they are always building the highest-value next increment with clarity and quality.
β’ Reviews technical designs, reasons about tradeoffs and constraints, and understands their impact on delivery timelines and system behavior, without being the primary implementer.
β’ Leverages deep experience with cloud ecosystems and partner business models to ensure platform capabilities align with how partners actually operate.
Deep partner and ecosystem understanding
β’ Leverage your hands-on experience within the cloud ecosystem and understanding of channel, reseller, and partner business models.
β’ Develop deep empathy for the workflows of cloud partners: billing operations, margin management, reseller customer management, support operations, and service delivery.
β’ Use direct partner conversations and operational insight to identify friction, gaps, and opportunities to improve how partners run their cloud businesses.
β’ Prioritize capabilities that materially improve outcomes such as revenue growth, operational efficiency, margin visibility, billing accuracy, and scalability.
Cloud billing and partner operations expertise
β’ Bring strong understanding of cloud billing constructs, marketplace programs, margin models, and partner incentives across hyperscalers.
β’ Help shape platform capabilities that manage or abstract complexity in areas such as:
β’ Multi-cloud billing aggregation
β’ Partner margin and discount models
β’ Customer invoicing and revenue operations
β’ Usage and cost transparency
β’ Marketplace and private offer workflows
Partner validation and external communication
β’ Speak frequently with partners (aiming for 3β5 conversations a week) and internal stakeholders to validate ideas, refine workflows, and test assumptions.
β’ Engage deeply with cloud partners, MSPs, SIs, and resellers to understand how they operate their cloud businesses.
β’ Communicate clearly and confidently: share concepts early, take feedback openly, synthesize input into decisions, and explain "why" in a way that builds trust.
Engineering-embedded technical product ownership
β’ Operate as a core member of the componentβs Engineering team β present in daily collaboration, crisp in decision-making, and pragmatic about constraints.
β’ Partner with Engineering leads on sequencing, technical tradeoffs, and delivery planning β ensuring product intent survives implementation realities.
β’ Ensure the component is cohesive across UX, APIs, data, and operational behavior, and supports partner-grade reliability and scalability.
Quality, outcomes, and measurement
β’ Define what βsuccessβ means for the component with clear metrics (partner adoption, onboarding speed, billing accuracy, workflow completion, retention, reliability signals, partner-reported impact).
β’ Instrument learning: ensure releases are measurable and that insights reliably flow back into prioritization.
β’ Own release readiness for your component: documentation, enablement inputs, and clear communication of whatβs new and why it matters.
Trust, governance, and financial accuracy
β’ Ensure platform capabilities account for the operational realities of the cloud partner ecosystem, including billing accuracy, financial reconciliation, and auditability.
β’ Design systems that maintain trust with partners and their customers through transparency, reporting, and reliable financial workflows.
Qualifications
β’ 7β10 years of direct experience in the cloud ecosystem, ideally across roles such as cloud operations, FinOps, partner operations, or building platforms that serve cloud customers or partners.
β’ Strong experience with cloud billing systems, cost and usage data, or revenue operations within cloud environments.
β’ Deep understanding of the cloud partner ecosystem (resellers, MSPs, SIs, distributors, marketplaces). Candidates have likely worked within the partner ecosystem at some point in their careers.
β’ Experience building or operating platforms that serve channel or partner-driven business models.
β’ Strong product sense for turning messy operational problems into clear scope and shipped value with an excellent user experience.
β’ Technical fluency in cloud fundamentals and APIs across AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
β’ Coding experience is a plus β enough to collaborate effectively with engineers, reason about feasibility, and understand system behaviors. Must have demonstrated experience using AI to accelerate product specifications and development.
β’ Excellent communication skills: ability to engage deeply with partners, cloud experts, and internal stakeholders.
β’ A bias for action and continuous improvement: you ship, measure, learn, and iterate.
How success will be measured
β’ Platform capabilities ship frequently with clear partner value.
β’ Partner feedback loops are strong and visibly influence the roadmap.
β’ Adoption across the partner ecosystem increases and partner operational workflows improve measurably.
β’ Billing accuracy, financial transparency, and operational scalability improve for partners using the platform.
β’ The Engineering team consistently has clarity on the next most valuable increment to build β and why.
