About the Role
We are looking for a FinCrime Lead to join ARQ, one of the fastest-growing fintechs in the world. This role involves building our financial crime product function from the ground up and leading a cross-functional team focused on fraud prevention, AML/CTF, and transaction monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the product vision and roadmap for fraud detection, AML, and transaction monitoring.
- →Lead a team of engineers and data scientists to design, deliver, and refine detection models, rule sets, and monitoring systems.
- →Define and track KPIs like true positive rate, false positive rate, and time-to-detection.
- →Turn fraud patterns, typologies, and compliance requirements into clear product specifications.
- →Continuously improve our detection capabilities based on real-world incident feedback and evolving threats.
Requirements
- ✓Proven product experience in fintech, payments, or fraud/financial crime prevention.
- ✓Strong track record delivering data-driven products with engineering and analytics teams.
- ✓Analytical mindset; comfortable interpreting model performance metrics.
- ✓Ability to balance risk prevention with great customer experience.
- ✓Comfortable working directly with founders in a fast-paced startup.
