About the Team
The Consumer Fraud team plays a critical role in protecting both the company’s financial health and customer trust through LLM-powered and AI-native fraud prevention systems. Our mission is to ensure that every customer interaction on our platform - whether through credit & refund, promotions, trials, or referrals - is fair, transparent, and free from fraud.
We are building an AI-first fraud platform powered by large language models and agentic systems. By combining LLM reasoning with real-time risk signals and machine learning, we detect evolving fraud patterns, automate decisions, and adapt quickly to adversarial behavior while minimizing friction for legitimate users.
Our vision is to empower customer growth and satisfaction by streamlining the processes rich in incentives across all consumer verticals, including restaurant, retail, and grocery. As an AI-driven layer of intelligent protection, we aim to offer seamless, industry-leading solutions that not only delight our customers but also safeguard the integrity and financial well-being of DoorDash.
About the Role
DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Consumer Fraud team. This team builds AI-first fraud prevention systems, spanning LLM-powered decisioning, machine learning models, and real-time risk platforms that protect the customer experience at scale.

• Combating Fraud with AI: Design and deploy machine learning and LLM-powered systems that understand complex user behavior, detect emerging fraud patterns, and automate enforcement with high precision.
• Automating and Scaling Fraud Operations: Build agentic workflows and AI-assisted review systems that reduce manual effort, accelerate investigations, and continuously improve through feedback loops.
• Developing Intelligent, Scalable Platforms: Create reusable, platformized fraud systems that combine real-time signals, model outputs, and LLM-based decisioning to enable rapid experimentation and deployment across teams.
As an Engineering Manager, you will partner closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Operations to define and execute an AI-driven fraud roadmap with minimal user friction. You will lead a team of engineers to build scalable, intelligent systems and solve complex challenges at the intersection of ML, LLMs, and distributed systems.
