About the Role
The GenAI Platform team at DoorDash builds the centralized AI infrastructure that powers every Generative AI use case, including Search, Recommendations, Fraud, Chatbots, and Merchant tools. You will join this team to build the foundational infrastructure layer that every AI product team at DoorDash depends on, rotating across areas like agents, evals, open-weights models, and gateways.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and improve the reliability, scalability, and monitoring of GenAI infrastructure
- →Develop scalable, high-performance ML pipelines for retrieval and batch inference
- →Create an easy-to-use platform supporting fast iteration and deployment of Generative AI products
- →Collaborate with ML and Product Engineers across DoorDash, Wolt, Deliveroo, and SevenRooms
- →Shape the direction of DoorDash's centralized GenAI platform
Requirements
- ✓B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
- ✓Strong backend engineering skills with API design and distributed systems experience
- ✓Strong fundamentals in computer science and Python
- ✓2+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- ✓Experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production
- ✓Experience with cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
- ✓Comfortable using AI coding tools while applying strong engineering judgment
- ✓Problem solver who thrives on 0→1 initiatives and can navigate interconnected systems
