About the Role
We are seeking a Game Designer to join Dream Sports, India's leading sports technology company. This role involves owning the design and long-term health of core gameplay systems, progression, economy, and LiveOps features for our mobile sports games.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, balance, and maintain core gameplay systems, progression, economy, and LiveOps features
- →Conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on new mechanics aligned with product vision and business goals
- →Balance progression curves, rewards, and monetization loops using player insights and data
- →Identify friction points and systemic issues, delivering actionable design solutions
- →Create and maintain high-quality GDDs, feature specifications, and balancing documentation
- →Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Art, QA, Product, and Monetization teams
- →Drive end-to-end feature ownership from concept through launch and post-release optimization
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of game design experience, preferably in mobile F2P or live service environments
- ✓Strong systems design expertise including progression systems, in-game economies, LiveOps frameworks, and balancing
- ✓Proven ability to design, ship, and optimize complex features in live game environments
- ✓Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, UX, Art, and Analytics
- ✓Excellent documentation skills for clear, structured design specifications
- ✓Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving abilities
- ✓Ability to translate complex backend systems into intuitive player experiences
- ✓Experience mentoring junior or mid-level designers
- ✓Demonstrated ownership mindset focused on quality, clarity, scalability, and long-term impact
- ✓Good to Have
- ✓Educational background in Game Design or related field
- ✓Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
- ✓Hands-on balancing experience in combat-driven or competitive systems
- ✓Experience designing LiveOps events, seasonal content, or battle-pass frameworks
- ✓Exposure to A/B testing and KPI-driven feature validation
