About the Role
We are looking for an actuary (or someone with deep actuarial experience) to build tools that will transform the actuarial profession. You'll work with engineering to translate actuarial expertise into product, focusing on pricing, reserving, competitive analysis, and regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with P&L owners, lead actuaries, and pricing directors at major carriers to implement the product
- →Audit agent outputs for accuracy and compliance
- →Work with AI engineers to codify actuarial workflows into agents
- →Define where human judgment is essential vs. where agents can handle the work independently
- →Build validation frameworks that meet actuarial professional standards
- →Represent Effective AI at actuarial conferences and industry forums
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of actuarial experience in pricing, reserving, product management, or competitive analysis
- ✓Comfortable with SQL, messy data, and complex schemas
- ✓Ability to explain actuarial concepts to engineers and AI capabilities to business leaders
- ✓Strong writing skills for documentation, customer-facing materials, and thought leadership
- ✓Startup temperament with comfort in ambiguity and fast iteration
- ✓Conviction about AI's potential to transform actuarial workflows
