About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Support Engineer L2 to execute on support issues while also building out the function and automating resolution of repeat issues. This role requires hands-on technical skills and strong communication abilities to facilitate technical discussions and translate business needs into technical plans.
Key Responsibilities
- →Investigate and drive support resolution with senior external clients, internal stakeholders and other Marquee engineering teams
- →Serve as point of escalation for support issues from Marquee Helpdesk (L1)
- →Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- →Develop and mature the SRE strategy for platform scalability, reliability, and performance
- →Automate manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- →Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with cross-functional collaboration
- →Work closely with engineering team to resolve client issues
- →Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents
- →Continuously improve processes and systems
- →Influence roadmap improvements for client experience
- →Create documentation and code snippets for sharing
Requirements
- ✓Experience with SDLC/Devops and LINUX system platforms
- ✓Strong Linux Scripting/Development skills in JAVA, Python
- ✓Knowledge of technologies like Autosys, Job scheduling systems (CRON, NIS, Apache, Tomcat), RDBMS (DB/MS-SQL/Oracle/Sybase), Public/Private Cloud
- ✓Familiarity with SDLC, CVS, SVN, GIT, Maven, GITLAB, Docker, Jenkins
- ✓Understanding of Devops dependencies and config management tools (chef, puppet, ansible)
- ✓Willingness to work in rotational shifts
- ✓Highly Desirable Skills
- ✓Experience supporting 10000+ servers
- ✓Multiple Application Support Experience
- ✓ITIL and ITSM experience
- ✓Global clients facing Support team experience
- ✓Experience working within a Global team
- ✓Prior experience with Financial Institution
