About the Role
Ensono is seeking a DB2 Data Replication Specialist to provide support and services for Mainframe and LUW DB2 systems. The successful candidate will administer QREP, manage database maintenance, and optimize database replication configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Administer, design, implement, and support highly available and scalable database solutions using Q Replication
- →Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Q Replication configurations, including defining and managing MQ queues, subscriptions, publications, and QMAPs
- →Monitor replication processes and database performance, resolve performance issues, and analyze data for optimization opportunities
- →Diagnose and resolve technical and data issues related to replication
- →Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery strategies and procedures
- →Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide support for production issues
Requirements
- ✓Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in DB2 for z/OS database administration and QREP skills
- ✓8+ years of professional work experience as a Mainframe DBA
- ✓Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience
- ✓Extensive experience with QREP DB2 for administration and application support
- ✓Experience with IBM Data Studio, CA Platinum, or BMC tools
- ✓Experience with IBM MQ, REXX, COBOL, Linux, CICS, and VSAM
- ✓Mainframe Certifications / Badges is an added advantage
- ✓Self-motivated and able to work independently
- ✓Must be able to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations
- ✓Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
- ✓Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
- ✓Shift Timings: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST
