About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level or senior Data Engineer to join the United Data Team at Entain CEE. You will work as part of an international, cross-functional team of data professionals, contributing to the development of our modern cloud-based data platform and the data services that power our products and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines (batch & streaming) across multiple brands.
- βWork closely with stakeholders in data engineering, analytics, and data science to ensure data is reliable, high-quality, and business-ready.
- βUse modern data tools and frameworks such as GCP, Confluent Cloud (Kafka), Dataform, Airflow, Terraform, GitLab to deliver production-grade data systems.
- βSupport integration of multiple source systems using Debezium (CDC) and streaming technologies.
- βCollaborate in an agile environment focused on continuous improvement, automation, and delivery.
- βDevelop, deploy, and monitor scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
- βDesign and implement data models and warehouse structures in BigQuery.
- βBuild and maintain inbound and outbound integrations across systems and brands.
- βParticipate in code reviews, testing, and peer learning to maintain best engineering standards.
- βSet up and manage monitoring and alerting for pipeline health and data quality.
- βCollaborate closely with the Analytics, Data Science, and Finance teams to enable data-driven insights.
- βContinuously optimize performance and reliability of data services.
- βDocument data flows, schemas, and system architecture.
Requirements
- βExperience in building and maintaining data pipelines (batch & streaming)
- βStrong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly GCP
- βFamiliarity with data integration tools like Kafka, Debezium, and Terraform
- βExperience with data warehousing and BigQuery
- βUnderstanding of data modeling and schema design
- βAbility to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
