About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to assume individual accountability for end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-team projects. This role serves as the technical steward for significant components within systems, infrastructure, and design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work on challenging the tech status quo and providing solutions to propose improvements, automation, and tech modernization
- →Enhance architecture and code structure to promote testability and maintainability
- →Analyze the broader technical picture, bottlenecks, dependencies, and synergies with other components
- →Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices
- →Develop and contribute to architectural principles, methodologies, and standards
- →Manage security risks and ensure security measures are integrated
- →Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and recommend adoption
- →Assist the enterprise architecture team on governance activities
- →Participate in design review processes, offering and seeking constructive criticism
- →Ensure robust documentation and records detailing the evolution of design and architecture
- →Prioritize work that enhances predictability, quality, and delivery throughput
- →Work with other PEs, POs, and SETLs on broader initiatives
- →Make work prioritization decisions based on trade-offs between quality, technical debt, and timely delivery
- →Engage in prioritizing cross-team initiatives and lead those initiatives
- →Provide individual mentoring to fellow engineers
- →Actively participate in hiring top engineering talent
Requirements
- ✓Possesses an in-depth understanding of multiple programming languages and paradigms
- ✓Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in a specific technology area
- ✓Experience with software engineering architecture and processes
