About the Role
We are looking for a Perforce Version Control Engineer to join Epic Games. This role involves working with one of the largest Perforce deployments in the industry, supporting thousands of users and millions of files at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and administer large, high-performance Perforce Version Control and other SCM tools at a global scale
- →Perform deep troubleshooting of Perforce Version Control server performance and database contention issues
- →Implement and maintain automation tools, user-facing tools, documentation, and workflows
- →Manage and support permissions and identity integrations
- →Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
- →Devise, test, and deploy integrations between Perforce products and other internal systems
- →Promote adoption and best practices among the system user community
Requirements
- ✓Experience deploying and maintaining environments with infrastructure as code approaches and tools
- ✓Experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP
- ✓Understanding of Linux operating systems, OS performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, and patch management
- ✓Expertise writing tools, scripting, and automation in Bash/UNIX shell, Python
- ✓Excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly
- ✓Strong learning skills, able to quickly absorb new concepts, tools, and processes
- ✓Experience with Perforce Version Control, Git, and their related server and client components in a large scale
