About the Role
Epic Games is seeking a Systems Designer to build progression and economy-related game features for a new project. This role involves designing, prototyping, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to implement engaging player experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, prototype, and collaborate with other Designers and project leadership to ensure systems deliver the desired player experience
- →Communicate feature visions to developers across disciplines and ensure they have the information needed for effective implementation
- →Solicit and integrate feedback from the team to deliver the best version of systems to players
- →Create scripting, data, and content required by systems, iterating from prototypes to final quality
- →Expand and iterate on systems in the live environment to maintain player engagement
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience shipping titles as a Systems Designer, working on progression, economy, and/or engagement features
- ✓Experience with live-service multiplayer environments is preferred
- ✓Demonstrated talent for empathizing with players and understanding player motivations
- ✓Strong interest in game progression and economies
- ✓Ability to react quickly to changing project needs and drive decisions
