About the Role

The geoprocessing development team at Esri supports a comprehensive suite of 2,000+ geoprocessing tools in ArcGIS Pro. This role involves building software functionality for feature matching, change detection, attributes transfer, spatial adjustments, and more, helping solve complex geospatial problems for worldwide customers.

Key Responsibilities

→Build conflation tools using new or enhanced algorithms to reconcile differences among multiple data sources
→Develop and ship quality software in a highly interactive team environment
→Apply pattern recognition, similarity analysis, and computational geometry techniques in conflation processes
→Research and implement strategies for scalability with large data volumes
→Explore progressive approaches and hybrid methods to improve conflation accuracy
→Build and deliver an integrated conflation management system
→Follow design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment techniques
→Find, analyze, and fix bugs and performance problems
→Contribute to and run tests to ensure high quality development

Requirements

✓2+ years of experience with C++ or related software developing languages
✓Firm understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns
✓Ability to clearly analyze and describe problems, and propose solutions
✓Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and parallel processing methods
✓Friendly, respectful, and open-minded attitude
✓Ability to collaborate with a team of software developers and product engineers
✓An enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
✓Bachelor's degree in computer science, computational geometry, or a related field
