About the Role
Join Esri's Product Design team to create and validate designs for ArcGIS Dashboards, a real-time GIS charting and mapping tool with powerful data visualization capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Coordinate with stakeholders to identify requirements for new and established features
- →Create prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs that demonstrate new concepts
- →Partner with engineers throughout development to ensure feasibility and deliver high-quality implementations
- →Design aesthetically pleasing, usable, and accessible UI designs that conform to Esri’s design system
- →Drive adoption of Esri’s design system and patterns for platform consistency
- →Act as a liaison between design and engineering teams to preserve UX vision
- →Validate design work through usability testing and user research
- →Stay current on mobile, web, and responsive design patterns and technologies
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience with product design for enterprise SaaS or web applications
- ✓Experience using Figma and adhering to pattern libraries
- ✓Ability to discuss technical constraints with engineering teams
- ✓Enthusiasm for working at the feature level of the Dashboards application
- ✓Interest in data visualization and dashboard-specific design aesthetics
- ✓Knowledge of localization (L10N) or internationalization (I18N)
- ✓Expertise in accessibility (WCAG 2.0/Section 508) and collaborating with developers on accessibility issues
- ✓Demonstrated self-ownership and initiative
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Online portfolio demonstrating design abilities and client objectives understanding
- ✓Bachelor's degree in human factors, HCI, graphic design, or related field
