About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our team at Ethos. This role focuses on ensuring product quality while maintaining development velocity. You will drive our testing infrastructure and automation efforts while caring deeply about developer productivity and CI/CD processes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Be a strong quality advocate, collaborating with software engineers, designers, and product managers to release life-changing products
- →Design and deliver risk-based test plans for new features and functionality
- →Help ensure releases adhere to deadlines without compromising quality
- →Pair with software engineers to identify coverage gaps and build regression test coverage
- →Provide reliable feedback on new functionality, features, and process changes
- →Uncover or prevent corner case defects
Requirements
- ✓5.5 to 8 years of software development or test framework development experience
- ✓Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (JavaScript, Java, Python)
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure tools (AWS/GCP)
- ✓Experience with automation framework development (TestNG/Cypress/Selenium/Rest Assured/Cucumber/Jest)
- ✓Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing at all levels
- ✓Self-directed with strong communication skills
- ✓Willingness to challenge existing practices to improve them
