About the Role
The Employment Compliance Specialist serves as a high-level consultant and subject-matter expert on complex employment matters. This role provides advanced analysis and guidance to management, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as a senior-level consultant and trusted advisor on complex employee relations and compliance matters
- →Lead comprehensive workplace investigations involving misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and other concerns
- →Provide strategic recommendations regarding corrective actions, performance management, and workforce reduction
- →Advise on wage & hour compliance under FLSA and state laws
- →Serve as subject-matter expert on ADA compliance
- →Analyze complex employment laws to support compliant decision-making
- →Partner with in-house counsel on employment matters
- →Draft detailed factual summaries and investigation reports
- →Identify trends and advise on policy improvements
- →Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve employee relations challenges
- →Develop and deliver training programs on employment compliance topics
- →Lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor HR team members
Requirements
- ✓Expert-level knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- ✓Experience conducting workplace investigations
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- ✓Ability to navigate high-risk situations with sound judgment
- ✓Experience with wage & hour compliance and ADA requirements
- ✓Project management and training development experience
