About the Role
The ITO Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users regarding computer systems, software applications, hardware devices, and network infrastructure. Their primary role is to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide first/second line IT support for company internal users and contractors
- →Install, configure, and troubleshoot user laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other office IT equipment
- →Configure, administer, and update Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems on user devices
- →Manage user device environment using user device management tools
- →Create and manage user accounts in Okta, AD, Azure AD, o365, and other systems
- →Perform physical network related tasks including patching, device installation, and ports assignment
- →Install and maintain server and network equipment, including cable patching in off-site data centers and onsite server rooms
- →Keep inventory of IT purchases and assets, creating/updating inventory records, assigning equipment to users, auditing inventory, and performing decommissioning
- →Work closely with facility and security teams to resolve security issues
- →Continuously develop and improve local IT infrastructure
- →Perform other duties as assigned by the manager related to this position
- →Replace colleagues or direct manager during their absences
- →Install and configure systems according to solution designs and architecture
- →Manage accounts and provide IT asset management according to internal procedures
- →Provide service/system operations and regular/ad-hoc maintenance to ensure service availability and security
- →Provide accurate service/system metrics data and report on service/system availability, capacity, and security
- →Resolve issues timely, escalate to third-party suppliers, and analyze and resolve problems
- →Provision system updates and deployments according to internal procedures
- →Fulfill user requests according to established SLAs
Requirements
- ✓Experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- ✓Knowledge of Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems
- ✓Familiarity with user device management tools
- ✓Experience with Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365
- ✓Understanding of network infrastructure and physical network tasks
- ✓Experience with server and network equipment installation and maintenance
- ✓Ability to manage IT inventory and assets
- ✓Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- ✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ✓Willingness to replace colleagues during absences
- ✓Ability to follow solution designs and architecture for system installations and configurations
- ✓Experience with accounts management and IT asset management
- ✓Ability to provide service operations and maintenance
- ✓Experience with issue resolution, escalation, and problem analysis
- ✓Ability to provision system updates and deployments
- ✓Experience with fulfilling user requests according to SLAs
