About the Role
We are looking for a Linux engineer to join Evolution's Video team, which develops and maintains independent solutions for video delivery for in-house built encoding and delivery systems, as well as support tools for production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- βDeployment and administration of Linux server systems
- βDeployment and administration of full stack of application software β applications, databases, virtualization platforms, and OS tools
- βProject support for IT system implementation and integration
- βApplication problem analysis and resolution, engaging with 3rd party suppliers
- βAutomation of system deployment and administration tasks
- βCreating architecture for video delivery services
Requirements
- βProfound knowledge and practical experience with Linux OS, virtualization platforms, and server hardware
- βAt least 5 years in Linux and IT system administration
- βKnowledge and practical experience with the administration of enterprise applications
- βExperience using open-source IT system support tools (monitoring, backup, logging) and ticketing/workflow systems
- βBasic knowledge of programming (Bash, Python, SQL)
- βGood English language and communication skills
