About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join Extreme Networks, a leading provider of cloud-managed networking solutions. This role will work in the UK as a hybrid position, contributing to our mission of simplifying and securing the access network.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide technology and product consulting to customers and partners
- →Offer technical sales support for various account opportunities
- →Perform high-level technical presentations for customers, prospects, and channel partners
- →Support RFI/RFP responses and lead Proof of Concept activities
- →Design solutions that meet customer requirements
- →Participate as a specialist on virtual teams and contribute to team activities
- →Travel domestically and internationally as required
Requirements
- ✓Excellent presentation skills
- ✓Strong pre-sales engineering track record in networking technologies
- ✓Knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, overlay networking, VPNs, Wi-Fi operation and design, and network security principles
- ✓Experience with cloud technologies, network management and orchestration software, SD-WAN, and automation scripting
- ✓Ability to work with customer project teams on design and PoC labs
- ✓Tenacity and perseverance as a customer advocate
- ✓Ability to build and maintain a network of trusted advisors at customer/partner sites
- ✓Willingness to assume a team-lead role when business requires additional resources
- ✓Experience working with partners for technical training
- ✓Major account experience and deal closing experience
- ✓Extreme Networks certifications are desirable
- ✓Recognized industry certifications are a plus
- ✓Good general hands-on lab experience
