About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Public Services Business Unit at Faculty. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to define project scope, ensure technical feasibility, and drive delivery excellence. This role involves designing and delivering bespoke data science solutions for high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

→Map the end-to-end data science approach and design associated software architecture
→Drive technical scoping and feasibility assessment of new projects
→Build strong client relationships by acting as a technical advisor
→Deliver bespoke algorithms and scalable software solutions
→Set the technical bar for the project team, ensuring high standards of code and delivery quality
→Contribute to Faculty's thought leadership through teaching, public speaking, or open-source projects

Requirements

✓Proven experience in a professional data science or quantitative academic role
✓Strong Python programming skills with proficiency in NumPy, Pandas, and a deep-learning framework
✓Solid grasp of core data science techniques including supervised/unsupervised learning, time-series, NLP, and model validation
✓Ability to apply a rigorous scientific and entrepreneurial mindset
✓Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical solutions
✓Experience in project planning, technical feasibility assessment, and delivery timeline estimation
