About the Team
Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.
Overview
Fanatics Betting & Gaming is looking for a Lead CRM & Email Designer to drive the creative execution of lifecycle marketing communications across email and CRM channels. This role will be responsible for designing high-impact, performance-driven communications that engage customers across promotional campaigns, product launches, and lifecycle journeys.
As part of the Marketing Creative team, this role will work closely with CRM marketers, product teams, and developers to translate marketing strategies into visually compelling and conversion-focused customer communications.
This position reports directly to the Senior Design Director and serves as the creative lead for CRM and email design across Fanatics Betting & Gaming. While this role provides creative leadership and guidance across CRM initiatives, it does not have direct reports.
The ideal candidate is both a highly skilled visual designer and an expert in modern email and CRM design systems, with a strong understanding of responsive email design, lifecycle marketing, and marketing automation platforms. You should have expert-level proficiency in Figma, strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and a working understanding of HTML5 and email development best practices.
This role is highly collaborative and plays a key part in ensuring that Fanatics Betting & Gaming delivers world-class, on-brand customer communications at scale.
Responsibilities
β’ Lead the design and creative execution of CRM and lifecycle marketing communications, including promotional emails, triggered campaigns, and customer journey messaging.
β’ Design responsive email templates and campaign creative optimized for multiple devices, inbox environments, and accessibility standards.
β’ Develop scalable CRM design systems and modular email templates to support rapid campaign production and consistent brand execution.
β’ Collaborate closely with CRM marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams to bring lifecycle marketing strategies to life.
β’ Translate marketing briefs and customer insights into high-performing visual solutions that drive engagement and conversion.
β’ Partner with developers and marketing automation teams to ensure accurate HTML implementation of email designs.
β’ Maintain and evolve the visual standards for CRM communications within the Fanatics Betting & Gaming brand ecosystem.
β’ Create supporting assets for additional CRM channels including push notifications, in-app messaging, and promotional marketing campaigns.
β’ Review and provide feedback on CRM-related design work to ensure creative quality and brand consistency.
β’ Continuously iterate on email creative through testing, optimization, and performance insights.
β’ Stay current with evolving email design standards, inbox rendering behaviors, and CRM marketing best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
β’ 8+; years of experience in digital design, CRM design, or lifecycle marketing design
β’ Expert-level proficiency in Figma is required
β’ Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
β’ Working knowledge of HTML5 and responsive email design
β’ Strong understanding of email client rendering behaviors, responsive email frameworks, and accessibility standards
β’ Experience designing modular email systems and scalable template architectures
β’ Ability to collaborate closely with CRM marketers, engineers, and cross-functional marketing teams
β’ Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy for digital communications
β’ Experience working within fast-paced, high-volume marketing environments
β’ Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
β’ Portfolio demonstrating email design, lifecycle marketing campaigns, and digital marketing creative
β’ Animation or motion design experience is a plus
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings and Fanatics events

Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed.
