About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Commercial Finance team at Farfetch. This role involves structuring, analyzing, and deriving strategic insights from complex financial datasets to inform commercial strategy and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

→Apply sophisticated statistical methods and machine learning techniques to model financial performance and forecast key metrics
→Design and execute A/B tests to measure the financial impact of changes in pricing and marketing investments
→Collaborate with Data Engineering to develop and optimize data structures and pipelines for financial reporting
→Partner with Senior Finance Managers and Commercial Leaders to present data-driven solutions
→Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports focused on financial and commercial KPIs
→Collaborate with Engineering teams to deploy financial models into production systems

Requirements

✓2-3 years of professional experience in a Data Scientist or Quantitative Analyst role
✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
✓Strong foundation in statistical inference, econometrics, and machine learning
✓Understanding of core financial concepts and reporting processes
✓Expert proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL
✓Experience with advanced forecasting techniques and time-series modeling
✓Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business narratives
✓Experience with GCP and Databricks is a plus
✓Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker and Looker Studio
✓Experience working with large-scale, complex transactional and financial data
✓Collaborative and proactive team player with strong organizational skills
