We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer - New Product Discovery to join Field Nation. This unique, high-impact role will act as a catalyst for our future growth, working on the edge of our product strategy to turn abstract ideas into tangible realities.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead 0 to 1 Innovation: Take ownership of greenfield projects, from napkin sketches to functional prototypes and MVPs
→Leverage AI-First Development: Utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate the coding process
→Rapid Prototyping & Experimentation: Build throw-away code intentionally to validate business needs
→Partner with Business Leaders: Work with Product, Strategy, and Customer-facing partners to translate business problems into technical solutions
→Validate Market Needs: Focus on building tools to prove or disprove the value of new offerings
→Transition to Scale: Hand off validated concepts to core engineering teams for scalable implementation

Requirements

✓Staff-Level Engineering Experience: 8+ years of software development experience with a strong track record of shipping full-stack applications
✓Speed & Agility: A mindset that values done over perfect during the discovery phase
✓AI Proficiency: Demonstrated interest or experience in using AI tools to multiply output
✓Full-Stack Versatility: Deep experience with modern web technologies and the ability to spin up infrastructure
✓Business Acumen: Ability to speak the language of stakeholders and understand the ROI of features
✓Fearlessness: Comfort with deleting code to learn what doesn't work
