About the Role
We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join Finch Legal, a company building infrastructure to make justice more accessible. You'll apply cutting-edge AI to solve real-world legal problems by building and tuning voice agents, browser agents, OCR pipelines, and LLM-powered workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build AI-powered systems that process complex documents and automate workflows for law firms
- →Design and execute evaluations, collect human feedback, and rapidly iterate to improve system accuracy
- →Track new research, tools, and frameworks to bring into production
- →Collaborate with product, operations, and legal experts to ensure solutions meet real-world needs
- →Build systems with safety, observability, and performance from day one
Requirements
- ✓3+ years building and deploying production ML systems
- ✓Experience across the stack using Python, AWS, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, React, and more
- ✓Ability to write clean, maintainable, and observable code
- ✓Experience with experiments and production stability
- ✓Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and make progress without perfect specifications
- ✓Excitement for applied AI where small improvements unlock huge value
- ✓Focus on outcomes over algorithms
