Solve the Problems That Matter Most
FinQuery is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. The Senior Software Engineer is an experienced technical contributor who combines deep engineering craft with a modern, agentic approach to software delivery. In this role, the engineer acts as both an orchestrator and a full-stack builder—articulating problems clearly, directing AI agents across codebases, and guiding output to reliable, production-quality outcomes. The position owns technical execution within the team, contributes to broader technical direction, and fosters a culture of pragmatic, high-velocity engineering.
Reports to the Director of Engineering.
If you are passionate about building scalable, AI-powered solutions that solve complex financial challenges, we want to talk to you.
How You'll Make an Impact:
• Own the delivery of full-stack features end-to-end, designing and building across .NET back-end services, REST APIs, and React front-ends from requirements through production release
• Design and evolve microservice architecture, APIs, and data models that scale with the product
• Drive technical decision-making within the team by shaping approach, challenging assumptions, and bringing clarity to complex engineering problems
• Operate as an orchestrator of AI-driven development, directing agentic tools across codebases to produce production-quality outcomes
• Apply pragmatic engineering judgment to calibrate effort and test coverage relative to actual risk
• Maintain code quality at agentic speed, leveraging automated tools for mechanical review while focusing human judgment on architectural fit and edge cases
• Treat documentation as "context engineering" by contributing to a living knowledge base that feeds AI tools across planning and deployment
• Conduct all business in accordance with FinQuery policies and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned
The Expertise You'll Bring:
• 7+ years of related software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science

• Familiarity with Authentication and Authorization patterns such as RBAC and ABAC
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with clarity across engineering and product teams
• Ability to balance technical velocity with necessary investment in risk mitigation
