WHAT IS FIZZ
Fizz is the hottest Gen Z social platform in the world. Having started as Americaβs biggest college social app, Fizz now enables Gen Z globally to connect around shared experiences and identities. College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life.
Our newest product, Global Fizz, brings together Gen Z both domestically and internationally, providing a space to connect around the 99% of life not represented on entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Fizz is on a mission to bring social back to social media.
WHAT WE'VE DONE
We first launched Fizz at Stanford in July 2021 and have since seen >95% of undergraduates join the app, half of whom use Fizz every day. Since raising a $25M Series B in July 2023, we have established ourselves as the dominant social app across 700+ colleges, begun generating revenue through advertising, and started expanding beyond college communities.
Most recently, Fizz reached #1 overall on the App Store charts in Saudi Arabia.
WHERE WE'RE GOING
We have three primary goals for 2026:
- Continue expanding across the entire U.S. college market
- Accelerate revenue growth through our advertising business
- Rapidly expand beyond college students, both domestically and internationally
THE ROLE
We are looking for an Account Manager to help build and scale Fizzβs advertising business from the ground up. This person will work directly with our Head of Business Solutions to execute campaigns for leading brands and agencies.
You will serve as the primary interface between Fizz and advertisers, ensuring campaigns launch successfully, perform strongly, and evolve into long-term partnerships.
This is a highly cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of sales, product, creative strategy, and data. The ideal candidate is both operationally strong and client-facing confident - someone excited to help define how advertising works on the next generation of social platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CAMPAIGN STRATEGY & CLIENT ONBOARDING
- Lead campaign kickoff calls with brand and agency partners
- Align stakeholders on timelines, deliverables, KPIs, and creative direction
- Set clear expectations and position clients for campaign success from day one
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT & APPROVALS
- Partner with clients to develop effective ad creative for native placements
- Write or refine ad copy aligned with Fizzβs voice and community dynamics
- Coordinate mocks and manage feedback cycles through final approval
CAMPAIGN EXECUTION
- Build, QA, and launch campaigns within Fizzβs campaign platform
- Ensure campaigns are properly configured, pacing correctly, and meeting objectives
- Maintain strong attention to detail across campaign setup and execution
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & OPTIMIZATION
- Monitor campaign delivery and performance metrics
- Identify opportunities to optimize targeting, creative, and budget allocation
- Prepare clear, data-driven reporting and performance insights for clients
- Lead weekly client calls to review results and recommend next steps
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure campaigns launch smoothly
- Participate in regular campaign syncs to share updates and identify risks early
- Provide client feedback to help shape ad formats, packaging, and product roadmap
RETENTION & REVENUE GROWTH
- Identify opportunities for renewals, upsells, and expanded partnerships
- Contribute to building long-term client relationships
- Help develop repeatable best practices as the ads business scales
PLATFORM & TOOLING IMPROVEMENTS
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve campaign workflows and reporting tools
- Advocate for features that improve efficiency and client experience
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 1β5 years of experience in account management, client services, campaign management, or media planning within digital advertising, media, or ad tech
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients or campaigns simultaneously
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfort working with campaign performance data and translating insights into recommendations
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally across teams such as sales, product, creative, or engineering
PREFERRED
- Experience with native advertising, branded content, influencer campaigns, or social media advertising
- Familiarity with campaign management or reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Google Ad Manager, Looker)
- Basic copywriting or creative development experience
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of digital media metrics (CPM, CTR, engagement rate, conversions)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The targeted compensation range for this role is $80,000 β $120,000 a year, based on job-related skills and experience. Fizz full-time employees are eligible for company-sponsored benefits and equity.
This is an onsite role based out of our New York, NY (Soho) office. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
