We're now looking for a motivated and driven Senior Business Development Managerβ―(m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.
You will be part of central team in Bucharest, responsible for Bulgaria, Greece and Romania bus markets. You will collaborate closely with your international peers and, in particular, with your counterparts in Berlin, Munich, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Sofia and Zagreb offices.
π This is a fixed-term role available both in Sofia, Bulgaria and Bucharest, Romania.
About the Role
β’ Report to the Head of Business Development and work cross-functionally with teams in and outside Bulgaria, including Operations, Network Planning, Pricing, Authorizations, Marketing and Finance in their joint work with the Business Development team
β’ Identify, negotiate, and acquire new bus operators to partner with Flix, establishing long-term relationships based in trust, developing long-term business plans
β’ Act as the point of contact for our bus partners in Bulgaria and lead regular business reviews with them, discussing and finding consensus for all business, financial and operational topics.
β’ Conduct contractual negotiations that ensure a win-win situation between FlixBus and the bus partners
β’ Analyze KPIs, market trends and competitorsβ activities, recognize problems by interpreting them, and derive suitable recommendations for action
β’ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Bus Fleet Owners, Bus OEMs, Bus Body Builders etc, and industry associations and Authorities
About You
β’ 5-8+ years working experience in Bulgaria in Consulting, Account Management and/or B2B Business Development, Transport (Passenger/Freight) experience is a plus
β’ Bachelorβs in business administration, sales, economics, or other related fields of study
β’ Fluency in English and Bulgarian is a must; Romanian and/or Greek is a plus
β’ Excellent communication and B2B negotiation skills
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions
β’ Organized and self-motivated, able to contribute and deliver both in strategic decisions and daily paperwork and problem solving
β’ You are proactive, reliable, flexible and have a strong focus on achievement, ready to travel occasionally (driver license needed)
